Chris Powell Award
The Chris Powell Award is given to outstanding geographers in year 13. The award is in memory of Chris who taught geography in Pencoed for nearly 30 years, as head of department for over 20 of them. His untimely death in 2002, after a long illness robbed the world of one of lifes few remaining characters. His passion for geography and manner with pupils was an example to us all.
